Ready for The coronation!

As within my previous blog post that I wrote about the upcoming coronation of King Charles lll, I am providing an update on how my outfit has turned out, which I intend to wear on the day of the coronation.

I had a number of thoughts on the style and design of the outfit. I kept thinking of a style that incorporates the coronation with my own twist which reflects my small business.

I was thinking of a silhouette of the monarch but then wanted it to be bold, visible and noticeable at first glance. I want this outfit to make people stop and ask questions about it but leave them wanting to know more at the same time.

Eventually I decided to go with a renaissance art inspired design which includes the crown throughout it.

The next question upon my mind was, what will this outfit actually be. T-shirt, which everyone on the mall will probably be wearing something representing the Union Jack or King Charles upon it? Or something that I can put my own mark on to? I looked around and thought about the idea of designing both a short sleeved shirt and matching shorts.

Now it's time to start with the basics. I began drawing a few rough sketches which then translated into using the procreate app on iPad to draw the final design, ready to be printed onto the outfit.

I felt confident with the manufacturer that I used as I've had products produced from them before in the past, so I knew what quality and expected processing times would be. Within two weeks of sending the order out to them it arrived to me, which I'm highly impressed with considering within that time they printed the design and shipped it out to me.

Now that it's arrived and I am frilled with it, let's now hope that on the day its decent weather to wear it and intrigue a few people and maybe have them show an interest within my small business.
